Spring JFL Course

We are excited to announce that we have secured a location in Torrance for our Spring 2021 Jobs For Life course where we can maintain Covid 19 social distancing requirements.

Jobs For Life

Our Mission:  To empower youth transitioning out of foster care to become confident, productive and successful adults and to understand God’s love for them by:

1. Connecting them with a Christian mentor for a healthy and authentic relationship;

2. Teaching them job readiness skills through the Jobs for Life program;

​3. Assisting them with job placement and/or education/vocational training enrollment.​

Pure, unstained religion, according to God our Father, is to take care of orphans and widows when they suffer and to remain uncorrupted by this world.  - James 1:27

​NEWS BULLETIN

- FHLA's holiday gift drive was a success! We were able to bless four group homes with dinner, dessert and holiday gift bags that included items such as gift cards, t-shirts, journals, socks and toiletry items. A dearest thank you to all of our community partners who donated to the cause and to everyone who supported our gift drive!

- We are looking forward to our 2021 Jobs For Life course. We have continued to curate good content for our classes and have added a 12 lesson social/emotional component this year.

Your support of $40 a month will sponsor a student through our life changing  Jobs For Life course.
